WEEK TWO...SIGH...

If you played against Chris Johnson, chances are you got smoked...he was out of this world in fantasy....I had him in one league, and went against in another....Same thing happened last week with the Philly defense.....

This week's lesson - play with your gut...it's your team, you make the decisions. Alot of times, I'll be swayed by last minute stories or input and make a change I end up regretting. Stick to your first thoughts...unless there's an injury involved, don't change....

Also, keep an ear out for last minute injury news on Sunday AM...the WR Wes Welker news caught alot of folks by surprise...and they got burned by not changing their lineups. Also, it might not be a bad idea to get your service's iPhone or smartphone app to allow you to make changes away from your computer...

Let's see - 1-1 in two of my leagues, 2-0 in rotobowl...week three is coming - also, byes start in week 4 - this is the week to plan ahead if you need to pick up a K orD/ST....

TAKE A BREATH....

I'm beginning to see the week one panic....everyone rushs out to grab
the week one wonders. Take a chill....last season, everyone rushed to
get TE Anthony Fasano after week 1....he ended up back on the waiver
wire by week 6...
If you have a need, fill it...otherwise, wait. If your league charges
for moves, it will save you some money in the long run....

WEEK ONE THOUGHTS...

Week one...I got smoked by the only lady in one league (NE big 3 - Brady, Moss and Welker and Eagles D/ST), and won my other two games...

First piece of advice - don't panic - it's week 1. Check the waiver wire if you have injuries and look ahead. If you have a player or players on a bye, plan to replace ahead of time. Don't scramble the week of....

Another word on injuries - WR A. Gonzalez of the Colts looks like he's out 2-6 weeks...if you can get someone to replace him, might not be a bad idea...Colston went down early last year, and while I kept him, he never really lived up to what was expected of a top flight WR. Injuries have a way to hurting you long term....

WEEK ONE

Here we go...hopefully, your drafts went well...I have three teams in three different leagues I fell very good about...
I saw some weird things in all three drafts (one guy took only one QB (Eli) and could be screwed if he's injured and someone took QB Mark Sanchez in the 9th as a second QB), but what was the somewhat strangest thing was in yesterday's Rotobowl draft - in my league, I saw some big reaches, even early on - which made life for me at #11 a little easier....Got a good team there by concentrating on RB-WR-RB-WR first 4 picks, then grabbing TE Greg Olsen #5. Am kicking myself for not taking WR Percy Harvin in the 10th round - don't know why I was afraid to make it - had WR Bernard Berrian, so it would have been a great handcuff...took WR Steve Smith of the Giants...a reach according to some. Otherwise, I'm happy...

Remember, now the real work begins - one point - if you only took one D/ST or one K, start thinking about a replacement a week ahead....

Good luck....
